The purpose of the Adaptive Awareness Event is to raise awareness for adaptive sports and support fundraising efforts for Central California Adaptive Sports Center, a non-profit that provides outdoor activities to persons with disabilities.
Adaptive Awareness Day has expanded beyond a single day into a larger event. Choose the way to participate that is right for you: online fundraising, an in-person ski day, donating, or bidding in our online auction —and for maximum impact, consider participating in all!

In-Costume Ski Day
Saturday, February 28
8:30am-4:30pm
Join the Central California Adaptive Sports Center at China Peak Mountain Resort to ski or snowboard in costume to raise awareness for adaptive sports. Participate in an on-mountain treasure hunt, a costume contest, and games at the base area, receiving pizza, a drink, and five raffle tickets to win a 2026-2027 season pass to China Peak Mountain Resort. If you do not have a season pass, you may purchase a discounted lift ticket for $45 during event registration.

Registration:
General $40
Kids (12 & under) $20
+ $45 Lift Ticket (optional)
Prizes: You can win great prizes in various ways, having the best costume (adult male/female, kids, or group), selling the most raffle tickets, or by participating in a scavenger hunt on the mountain. Other great prizes will be raffled off at the end of the event. Prizes include Black Diamond Equipment, CCASC hoodies and mugs, a 2026-2027 China Peak season pass, and more.
Important Note for Adaptive Participants: CCASC will not be open for lessons on the day of the event. Please reach out if you would like to ski/slide independently on the event day, call Randy at (559) 593-2504.

Online Fundraising
Now - March 10
Create a personal fundraising page, share why you are supporting CCASC, and invite friends, family, and colleagues to donate. Funds raised support CCASC programs that provide outdoor recreation opportunities to persons with disabilities.
We will give you all the tools and support to help you reach your fundraising goal.
Step 1: Sign up to start fundraising and your personal fundraising webpage will be emailed to you when it is complete, along with tips and resources to support your online fundraising.
Step 2: Share your page with friends, family, and colleagues to raise funds by March 10, 2026.
Prizes: The most successful fundraiser will win a top-tier prize.

Our online auction runs Feb 28 - March 10 and features a variety of exciting items you can bid on from the comfort of home. All proceeds support the Central California Adaptive Sports Center, helping provide outdoor activities to persons with disabilities. Fundraising Goal
Each donation helps us reach our fundraising goal for the Adaptive Awareness Event and supports the Central California Adaptive Sports Center in providing more outdoor activities for persons with disabilities. Every contribution, large or small, directly supports programs like sit skiing, kayaking, rock climbing, and more, giving participants the chance to move, explore, and fully experience the outdoors.
